I going to build a conservatory and I have a 300 diameter inspection chamber in my garden. It will be in the floor of the conservatory. Shall i move it a metre or so out of the range of the conservatory or can i build my slab over the top. If I do this wiil i need to fit some kind of access lid over it for any future inspections??

i.c pots are generally situated at vulnerable points on a pipe run, usually where one pipe joins another, so any blockages can be rodded.this in turn makes re- siting a non starter, unless you can re-hash the junction elsewhere on the pipe run.
if you leave it within the conservatory, then a recessed, air tight, screw down access cover will need to be fitted.

The IC is only around 500mm deep and has no other pipes running to it. It only has the foul straight through it. I was going to just move it along the run origionally.
Cut it about 400 or so either side and cut out a similar length further along the run. Band seal either end to rejoin it and another peice of straight pipe where it was originally with band seals also and away you go.
I just wanted a quick fix as I am not looking forward to all that digging!
