Installation method Bs7671 for buried cables in walls

Hi
I'm just confused as to which method to use when the cable is channelled into the plastered wall then plastered over. Do you just assume method C (clipped direct)? For example cables for sockets are installed like this.

Ah ok so long as I expose the brick underneath put cable in it's ref c yes?
As far as BS7671 is concerned The term "masonry" relates to brickwork, concrete, plaster and similar materials (but excludes thermal insulating materials)
So in theory the block/brickwork does not need to be exposed, can be clipped on to base coat plaster and skimmed over.
But ideally you would want to go as deep as possible with cable.
