Installed composite doors are these "spacers" required to stay in?

Hi everyone,

I installed a composite doors yesterday and wasn't sure if these grey spacers are meant to stay on the inside of the frame?

Wasn't sure if they are meant to stay there or be removed?

I do not know but I suspect that they were initially used to protect the door in transit.
