Hello,
I have searched the forum and could not find an appropiate answer so i thought i would post to see if anyone could point me in the right direction.
My question is that i currently stay in a upper (4 in a block) cottage flat. i have my own maion door which has a rising hallway that takes me up to the flat. Now in that hallway i have a small low fake ceiling.
Now what i would loike to do is to extend one of my rooms, so it goes over the fake ceiling increasing the area of my room
This will require me creating a new floor above this fake ceiling (as it is unsupported at the moment) the area is approx 2m by 1m.
What am i best using as support beams? wood or metal? can i rip up the floor boards and connect the beams to the ones present in the rooms? then lay the wood planks on top?
Hope i was clear in my explaination.
