Very easy Helen, simple DIY job.
no don't even try cutting the flexi hoses, if theirs too much bend on the flexi then cut the pipe below so it doesn't kink them.
pushfit are simpilest for basic diy just make sure it's pushed fully onto the pipe, just fit your taps first before mounting the sink, unless it's allready mounted then it doesn't matter

Buy a good DIY book at about £10.00p one that has got good pictures.
