Hi all,

i am new to this site, i am installing an Aga stove in place of my gas cooker.
The new Aga uses gas and electric.
I would like to know if it is ok to run the cable from the fuse bard into the same trunking as the the gas pipe which runs to the stove?
Any response welcome.

Cheers

heeelllooo and welcome ashdail

as this is in the kitchen and notifiable work [part p]i would suggest you employ an electrician
the alternative route it to know how to do it within the regulations
contact the council before you start with your game plan asking them to certify your work at your expence and see what they say but must be before you start
unless you are able to simply attach to the existing cooker point ???

what is the capacity off the arga?? [watts amps??]

the maximum load stated in the documentation is 8.5Kw
I would be running a 10mm cable with a 50A mcb.
the gas supply is running in a 2" trunking to my existing gas hob.
I was thinking of running this cable in the same trunking as this seems to be the easiest route. I was not sure if i would be able to run the gas an electric in the same enclosure?

Not an electrical issue although it is a gas issue, I beleive that there needs to be 50mm between the gas pipe and the electric cable. Cables are not allowed to pass through the same holes as a gas pipe either.

no expert as i am a bench joiner
i think with diversity you may get away with 6mm assuming your cooker point is 6mm 40 amp??
but you need a inteligent sparky to answer :D
