Hello, I'm plumbing in a downstairs bathroom and need to add an extractor fan as it is windowless. The wiring was professionally done 18 months ago, but no provision was made for a fan. The fan itself will be sited remotely in the ceiling void of another room.

All I have to do is run 3 core+earth from the main lighting junction box (multiple l/v downlighters) to my remote fan.

My question is, is this notifiable?

Cheers,

Even though the fan isn't sited in the bathroom you're going to extend the wiring of the lighting circuit in the bathroom by connecting the fan cabling to it. This would be notifiable.
Don't forget a 3A fused connection unit if the manufacturers instructions require it.
