Hi guys. About to fit full frost protection on a friend's existing S-plan system. The oil boiler and associated twin zone pipework and valves are in an exposed and uninsulated boiler room annexe to the main house. There is a run of both sets of pipework from this annexe into the insulated (so cold) loft of a single storey heated extension to the main house before it enters the main house proper into the upstairs floor void. The exposed length of pipework is about 6 metres. So, frost protection is needed on both runs.
Most online solutions only open one valve, either DHW OR CH.
Am I correct in thinking that to do this correctly I will need two independent frost stats and pipe stat systems, one to open the DHW valve and one to open the CH valve? Most online solutions only open one valve, either DHW OR CH. Many thanks in advance. Brian
PS Having spent some time thinking this through and got my head around it (I hope) I think the solution is one frost stat feeding two pipe stats, one for each valve. Is this correct?
