Installing gas hob and gas oven?

A pipe is a pipe - nothing more. The TESTING will prove if it is gas-tight or not. BTW - why do they give out Part P electrical advice on this forum?

Because like Oftec & Hetas, Part P is just a self certification competency to get through LABC whereas gas work has additional use regulations/legislation as well.

And what about issues such as required clip distances and the type of fittings to be used? Pressure/tightness testing does not cover these aspects.

Part P advice is given out because the forum allows it, however it's a forum rule that we don't give out advice on gas work to DIYers beyond telling them to get an RGI in

A competent electrics / electronics engineer will have forgotten more than you will ever know, and if you do both, you should be intelligent enough to know better.

The decent people in the world like to help others learn / succeed, the people left behind to try and bring others down to make themselves look intelligent.

Which one do you think you are :?:

So why don't they just say "Get a Sparkie in then?"

The electric regs are more complex than the number of pipe clips used.

You can't smell electricity - but Part P advice is freely given. Why is that?

Lol, seriously? A competent electrics / electronics engineer will have forgotten more than you will ever know, and if you do both, you should be intelligent enough to know better.

WTF are you on about?

WTF are you on about?

If you failed to get my point, may I suggest you stop reading / posting on forums and get yourself at least a grade C at GCSE English before you give advise out to people,

you may be putting peoples lives at risk.
