Hi,

I'm currently renovating an old house which has an oil fired boiler serving central heating radiators. The boiler is inconveniently placed in the pantry in the kitchen and I want to relocate it to a detached brick built shed about 2 meters away from the house. My questions are;

1- Are there any building reg issues with this?
2- can the existing pipes/rads stay and the new boiler be connected to them?
3- is it worth replacing oil with gas boiler?

Thanks in advance for you help,

Gaz.

There are building regulations that apply with the installation of any controlled service. If you have mains gas it's worth changing but then you wouldn't need to move it as modern wall mounted ones are tiny.
