Hi everyone, I want to add a couple of extra outside lights to an existing setup, the cable to the first light is already hidden under soffits, this is switched on by way of a double light switch inside the hallway, one feeds exointing light and the other feeds the hallway light, the lighting will run will be around the outside of the house, as I cannot hide any more wires and they are on the sides of the house I am thinking of just daisy chaining the cable from the existing and then up into the loft across and down the other side of the Apex, what type of cable is best suited for outside use and if Armour cable is needed will this still have to be put inside conduit. Also can I connect 2 soffit down lights to halogen lights if I were to fit them on the side, I am fairly diy competent and usually have to wait 6 months for a trades person to even give a quote.

Thanks

Phil

Cable should be black as it resists UV light better, to terminate SWA would be a pain so unless where likely to be damaged would not use it. Again conduit is for mechanical protection.

Personally I would avoid halogen lamps outside, LED far better.
