Hi I have a small utility room and currently the walls are brick. I purchased some plasterboards to put on as the missus wants it wallpapering but any idea what I use to install the plasterboards. Should I use bonding adhesive or nails. Thanks.

To elaborate a bit more on Joe:

Plasterboard adhesive - for example http://www.british-gypsum.com/produ...roc_accessories/gyproc_dri-wall_adhesive.aspx

DIY superstores usually have something similar also.

You will need to remember to set the boards with a small gap at the bottom to keep them off the floor. Especially in a utility room where water on the floor is highly likely.
Easiest to bend a small piece of plasterboard so it forms a little spacer two sheets thick. Use this to rest the board on the floor whilst the adhesive sets.

It will also depend if you want to skim or get it skimmed before you paper as to whether you use tapered boards etc etc. There should be quite a few posts for you to find on the subject to make your mind up.

If the utility room has half brick external walls then there is a strong chance of thermal bridging in cold weather.

This will reveal itself as visible marks exactly where the blobs of board adhesive are positioned behind the board.

If none of the walls are external or if they are cavity, insulated etc, ignore the above.

Where would the moisture come from? The heat from the room would move out across the bridge from the warm room.
