Installing Alusplash splashback. The height from the hob to bottom of the cabinet is 850mm. Is it ok to install 750mm splashback, then get the worktop and 100mm upstand installed? Or should the worktop/upstand be installed first? - which could make it more difficult to install the splashback after. I’m trying to avoid ending up with a gap in between the upstand and splashback.

Worktop then splash back then upstand. Where go you get the 850mm from?

It’s 850mm + 20mm worktop thickness, so it’ll be 870mm total.

Do you mean the upstand gets installed on top of the splashback? My understanding was it would go underneath? Trying to understand the sequence you’ve listed.

As ‘blip’ was hinting at, your 850 seems awfy high. The ‘standard’ from worktop to cabinet is usually around 450mm. Do you mean the Extractor cabinet ?
Anyway, as ‘blup’ says - worktop, then upstand on, then Splashback sits on top of upstand. The ‘join/seam’ is usually under the extractor, and therefore just between two cabinets each side of the hob ( if that’s your set-up)

Yes that’s correct, that’s the measurement to the extractor fan, which is why it’s higher.

‘blup’ said the splashback goes before the upstand? Is there any issue doing it that way round?
