Hey all,

Family member needs a TV hung on this media wall and I am seeking some advice on how to do it. The wall behind is solid block with paster but what lies between the back of the media wall and the main wall?

Whilst I've hung a TV before, I just haven't done so on a media wall.

Thanks

You are fixing to wall ? Not media wall which is a description of finished project, just drill plug and fix bracket .

When I tap on that media wall it's hollow behind, obviously due to wooden batons that sit between the wall and where the TV is to be mounted to.

Why ask us, why not ask the person that built the wall - ask them what they fitted to be able to take the weight of the TV.
If I was building one I would be putting a lot of thick wood behind it to mount the weight on, perhaps they did?

Mark the perimeter of where the bracket is to be fitted. Cut out a small section of the board within that perimeter to see what is behind the board, there should be ply or something of this ilk.

If not you will need to fit a suitable reinforcing board for the bracket.

Thanks for that mate.
