installing wood flooring

Afternoon everyone

i have 18mm engineered wood flooring that i need to install, in my lounge and dining

in my living the sub base is chipboard and in the dining room the sub base is a concrete floor, the question is which is the best way to fix the wood flooring to these sub bases, any help would be really grateful as this is my first post and all other adivce on the internet contradicts each other

Firstly = Manufactured product = follow manufacturers instructions.....

anyhow...

You can glue or float it on the concrete, depending how level the concrete is you may need to level it. Either use a levelling compound or plywood and float it, or use battens and fix it down.

As to chipboard = float it. chipboard doesn't hold nails very well.
