Hi

I've recently dot and dabbed my walls with polystyrene backed plasterboard.

In my living room I was planning to install an open fire place. The chimney is located on the outside of the house. Is this safe to do? Are there any precautionary steps I need to take? I'm worried the heat might melt the polystyrene behind the plasterboard.

Thanks or your help
