I am hoping to do a slight garage conversion with the help of my dad. I haven't discussed this properly with him though, and I want to have a rough idea of what I am doing before I go through it with him in detail.

So, my question is, what is the best type of insulation to use? I am preferably looking for something that is effective but that isn't too expensive and can be installed easily by us (if that is possible).

Do things like this work...

Thanks in advance for any help :D

I would not rely on the Airtec or similar insulation rolls. They perform differently to traditional insulation so best avoid unless you get specific design advice

Jablite, for a given thickness, is more efficient than plain white polystyrene, but less so than foil backed board such as Celotex or Kingspan

Just read the numerous garage conversion threads and see how the insulation is installed as part of the drylining of the walls
