Insulating the doorway

Too much cold is coming through the door that is hardly ever used.

I need to plug it with something like a styrofoam block.

The dimensions of the "hole" I need to fill are 85Cm (wide), 203Cm (high) and 16Cm (width).

I'm thinking that I'll put two handles on the blocking device so I can fit it in and out of the doorway.

I'm supposing that I'd buy styrofoam sheet as is commonly sold for building insulation. Although I think the standard width is 600mm.

If the styrofoam is quite robust, I suppose all I might need to do is encase the edge of the block by glueing on say thin EDF board.

Does anyone have any better ideas of what I can do to make this block? Or come up with a more appropriate, or cheaper material. Thanks.
