Hi there,

Just wondering would this cylinder benefit from extra insulation like a padded jacket? Or is this foam sufficient?

Thank you,

Ricky

Foam should be sufficient. From what I can see your hot water pipes appear to be insulated as well?

You'd be far better insulating the hot outlet pipework at the top and primary flow and return pipes lower down on the side...with 19mm wall thickness.

Thanks for the replies guys everything looks to be covered in insolation even the pipes

Directly off and where the tee is probably negligible, but exposed.

Well the hottest pipe coming off the top isn't insulated and what insulation is on there is poorly fitted...mitre the joints and evostick them.
And there's no insulation on the boiler primaries just near the magnaclean...
Those pipes will be constantly pulling heat from the cylinder and radiating it.
