hi guys I live in a top floor flat and it has had a new roof put on but now I want to insulate the bare brick walls,im so confused there are so many different ways to do it and my friend who is a joiner has said celotex 25mm short on space hence the 25mm fixing this straight to the wall with insulation fixings http://www.toolandfix.com/timco-mif...ing&148=6937&gclid=CNiF3bSr084CFUwYGwodthEF7w

then adding 12.5mm plasterboard and fixing both to the brick wall ..I am worried about condensation and he is also goin to replace the frame with timber as I want to keep the victorion look of ther property any advice would be really helpful would you say sand and cement the window frame then add the timber ,ive attatched some photos sorry the quality isn't great all of the walls are the front of the property which gets really bad winds all inside walls but outside if you know what I mean

Is any of this subject to building control regulations? If so you have to do a lot more than you are proposing. If not I'd look at insulation backed plaster board. a 40 or 50mm would be substantially better than 25mm and could be installed on dabs, so no wood frame needed.
