Insulation testing??

Can you do insulation tests (or any other testing for that matter) with integrated appliances, such as washing machine or dishwasher still connected ?

Test circuit with DP isolator off, then to get the bit of cable between isolator and flex outlet, turn isolator on and just do both live conductors together to the cpc

to clarify...

for the purpouse of testing, the phase ( live ) and neutral conductors are considered "live conductors"..

Just thought I'd pre-empt the next obvious question / comment...

"I only have one live conductor" or "Do you mean all the reds / browns at the fuseboard? "
