Hello,

I am planning on having an integrated washing machine (without dryer) in my kitchen next to the dishwasher. The electrician has put the cable etc, during a full scale refurb, and now, months later, we are going to install the kitchen.

I looked on the wall where the units will go and see that there is a cable for the dishwasher, but there is not a cable for the washing machine.

Does the washing machine require it's own electric cable, and therefore fuse?
Or, can it be connected onto the dishwasher line? I assume both appliances will plug into a double gang socket.

I want independent info before speaking with the electrician --- Thank you.

They both can use the same cable (assuming usual 2.5mm²) but you should have two single sockets fitted.

No need for fuses, the fuses will be in the plugs.
