Can anyone tell me a good way to keep my insulation in place in between a sloping rafter prior to fixing plasterboard? Both rigid and soft insulation.

use little timber wedges in the small gaps for the rigid insulation and just about any old strip of plasterboard, wood, lathe, bamboo, anything that can be wedged (laterally) between the joists, for the quilt type.
I use a staple gun to staple garden twine from rafter to rafter.
