Is there any reason I shouldnt insulate central heating pipes under the floorboards and right back to the boiler? It seems to me that it doesnt make sense to have heat escaping from the pipework before it gets to the radiators.
 
It does make sense, however pipes under upstairs floors will contribute to heating the room so I would insulate the pipes under downstairs floors if possible.
