Just spent the last hour on the phone to AVIVA to transfer my insurance to a new vehicle.
Current vehicle is a Nissan Xtrail 1.3 petrol
New car being delivered next week is a Nissan Xtrail 1.5 MHEV 163 Tekna Xtronic so no reg plate yet.
Sorry they say..........we can only see the new Xtrail 1.5 DIG 161 on our system.....its the same vehicle.
No its not I say
I Even suggested they Google it.

I sought a quote on comparison websites and AVIVA was able to quote for the MHEV so they can see the new vehicle.

Sorry but we do not have access to comparison sites.....they say !!!!

Are they suggesting I should cancel my current policy and apply again?

AAAARGHH :evil::evil::evil:

I froze my insurance yesterday when I sold our A3 quicker than I thought I would. We're not getting our new car until Sept 1st. They said to just phone up with the new registration when I know what it is. Can't you do the same?

My problem is that a new reg plate takes a few days to get updated on government/insurance systems.
In that situation, insurers ask for vehicle info but AVIVA do not recognise the vehicle.
Once the car gets delivered, I need to have it insured.
Have raised an online complaint to AVIVA so will give it a couple of days to see how it pans out.
Car gets delivered 05 Aug.

Quote them the chassis number ?

Should be able to identify it from that

I could have had mine around that time too but it would have been on a 25 plate. Mind you, I could have saved £500 though but I opted for a September car with a 75 plate. I’m shallow like that. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
