inta deluge shower

Hi guys i have been asked to fit the above shower which has a fixed riser which is too high.
The pipes r tiled into wall so dont want to start bashing em off, was thinking of taking the brass fitting off the bottom of the riser cutting riser down to size and glueing fitting back in with waterproof locktite.
Does anybody no of any other way of getting round this prob
