Integrated dishwasher and washing maching

I am hoping to fit both an integrated dishwasher and integrated washing machine and am hoping to use the plug sockets that are already in situ and are used for stand alone dishwasher and washing machines.

The problem with using the plugged sockets is that they stick out too far to fit the appliances.

Can I replace the plug sockets with 13 amp spurs which take the cable in from their bottom edge and wire the appliance directly to them.

There is a multi-gang switch which turns these sockets off when required on the wall above the units.

Does that multi gang switch have fuses too? if so you do not need another fuse under the worktop. You could just use a FLEX OUTLET
