I have had a botched install of a Bosch integrated dishwasher. The installation manual states a maximum cabinet door height of 725mm and my doors are unfortunately 730mm. So the door will not open flat as the bottom of the cabinet door hits the bottom of the dishwasher.
There is 60mm of adjustment available in the feet though. Theoretically in my head, if I get the installers to reduce the height of the dishwasher by 5mm and move the cabinet door up 5mm, it should stop hitting the dishwasher at the bottom when open.
The top of the dishwasher door won't be flush with the top of the cabinet door, the 5mm difference between the two I would have to live with.
The dishwasher is secured with a screw either side to the cabinets next to it, so hopefully the resultant gap between the dishwasher and the bottom of the countertop does not make it tip forward when I open the door.
Is there any other drawback I am missing?
Many thanks
