Hi all,

I have a Golmar T-710R series handset installed however the front intercom buzzer doesnt work. The door release button works fine.

This is the set up as I understand it however at present I do not have a wire installed in terminal 7 as 1. the previous set up didnt have anything installed in terminal 7 and 2. The wiring diagram in the data sheet below is a little misleading. I do have wires installed in terminals 0, 10, 5, 3, P1 however nothing in terminal 7. The wiring diagram doesnt illustrate any wires going in terminal 7 but the handset compatibility chart says otherwise for the T-710 series. I do have 2 spare wires left over however since these appear not to be used, I have no idea what these two wires do.

Any advice how I can get the buzzer working? Also the privacy switch, does anyone know what this is and how is it set up? I understand this model has one?

Many thanks

terminal 7 is for tone sound ( electronic ) most used on dc ring systems, most ac systems use a buzzer thats why there are inputs for both as this is a universal handset first thing to check is the button on the entry panel as this may be a bad connection did it work before it was replaced ?

Hi, I'm not sure if it was working previously as we only moved in few weeks ago in the new place. I think (I could be wrong) but entry button outside on the panel seems to be easily pushed in and i did try pressing the other buttoms and they were more springy when pushed.

Can I just check, do I need to programme anything in order to get the new handset working? Can anyone just confirm what colour wires are supposed to go into terminals 0, 10, 5, 3, P1. So terminal 7 should just be left blank?

Many thanks

what colour ? all depends on who wired the unit up as there is no standard wiring config for door entry systems, even if the button feels ok does not mean its ok.

Hi all,

Just an update, the buzzer is still not working. I have taken some pictures below. All other features on the handset work fine.

I think according to the link below, there is a privacy switch on this model. How do I know whether it is activated or not? How do I change it?

Any help much appreciated. Still no buzzer working in the flat.

swop wire from 7 to 0 set p2 mid way and try buzzer make sure hanset is back in cradel as eletronic tone hansets need to be back in the cradel to work.

Hi,

Just checking as the flat have only a buzzer system, wouldn't it be just terminal 7 that needs wiring as opposed to terminal 0?

Also how do we set P2? Whats that?

I have previously wired it to terminal 0 as opposed to terminal 7 but no luck with teh buzzer working.
