Wondering if anyone might be able to offer some advice on the below.

Basically, when the boiler is turned on from scratch it appears to function fine in that I can turn the central heating on using the override switch on the timer dial etc. However when running the hot tap it does indeed provide hot water but then the pump never seems to stop running and the water LED is lit up and doesn't go off (gas/flame stops). I have even set the pre heat dial to Off and it still continues.

If I restart the boiler again after waiting a while the central heating can again be turned on but stops when the hot water tap is running as above, again. It is quite strange in that sometimes the heating will actually come on on the timer (the odd morning or night when it feels like it, but not consistently).

Also one thing that sometimes gets around it (though not recently) is if I run the hot water tap for a while it seems to turn off the pump again and I can put the Central Heating on again.

It seems as though something is getting stuck and the water heat function is not disengaging.

It has recently had a new dhw diaphragm and a hot water thermister - this resolved an issue with no hot water but a few months later this has started happening.

Any ideas? Cheers
