Intermittent Fault with Mira Event XS Thermostatic Shower

Please can anyone help with my shower dilemma. It has gone from working perfectly well to having no water coming out within ten minutes. The motor sounds like it is working and the hot water and header tanks are all fine. My dad has had a look, cleaned the inlet valves, it started working again however when he replaced the front cover it stopped again. Any ideas would be gratefully received please? Someone has suggested the solinoid (spelling?)

Hi Sarah take the head off the shower and put the hose as low as you can, then turn on the shower, report back what happens.
