I need some advice on super quilt insulation. I have a single brick building needed to be insulated. I was thinking of using super quilt insulation because it is 25mm thick which would give me maximum room. Would this work putting it on the inside of the wall and cladding over with timber. Any advice would be most welcome.

you need to damp proof the wall first.screw some battens on the wall.fit king span or similar between battens and then board.a small bit of dpc on the floor would help to stop any possible rising damp.

Disregarding the debate about how effective multi-foils really are, you need a 25 mm air-gap both sides of your foil ( this is particularly well-hidden on the YBS site ) so you are looking at 75 mm not 25 mm.

I don't know how much this particular brand costs , but they are not normally cheap and I would sugest PIR (KIngspan etc) as a more effective insulant for the cost.
