Redecorating it & painted cill.

I rubbed down to bare wood & put 2 X coats of Zinser cover stain, followed by 2 x coats of Dulux Trade high gloss oil based paint. No heating in room yet & been fairly cold.

Everything went well until 2nd coat of gloss & it has cracked in one area.

I assume i have either put it on too thick or not allowed enough time to dry out before 2nd coat(I left it 24 hrs)

What is the best course of action going forward? Cheers

In the recent cold snap probably not enough time left for the coats to dry. You could try lightly sanding the gloss and over painting when completely dry. Otherwise sand down to bare wood and start again.

Cheers for that
