Folks need some advice.

Having aloft conversion done and thinking about putting a small window on the landing partition wall which goes into a room.

Can i put in a bog standard window measuring 47cm x 60cm, are there any special regs i need to observe, ie thickness, toughness, etx.

thanks.

If the stair case is open, and the window is before the fire door on the loft room, then the window needs to be fire resisting to the same standard as the wall it is in

The window will be on the partition wall with a firedoor in it.

It needs to be fire resisting then - timber is OK (check if thick SW or thinner HW is required) suitable beads, GW or pyro glass and intumescent seal
