could some tell me the best saw blade to cut this wood i've used a jigsaw ok ok works ok but when i use a circular saw it burns the wood this is with a new blade a 48tpi by the why 40mm thick by 620mm deep i need to get a straight cut so jigsaw is no good many thanks :confused: :confused: :confused:

you need to speed up/keep constant the feed rate or slow down the rpm

failing that a light sand will remove the burn marks or reposition your strait edge 0.5mm further in and make a pass quite quickly at a constant feed rate if you have to stop the saw moving for any reason like repositioning your body remove the blade from the surface before you slow down
 
Rough cut with your jigsaw or circ saw then trim the last 2-3mm with a router.
