All criminals need to be dealt with, including rapists in asylum centres. It would be beneficial to stop more criminals entering the country.
 
The diffence was that the Romans went back home again.
And left us with some knowledge about building things, washing and divert sewage underground rather than shyt in buckets and empty them on the street (although a mud path can't be really called a road).
