irwin laser kit

does anyone know if you need a specail washer to fit the above as when i go to tighten it on my dewalt flip saw dw742 the centre of the mounting bit sits 1-2mm out from blade and wont let the irwin laser kit sit flush to blade where as the dewalt washer is recessed to alow it to tighten straight on to blade
