Is Britain fracking the wrong thing?

It wouldn't surprise me if this country does decide to outlaw fracking - and nuclear energy for that matter.

We have a habit of ditching things that worked in the past. A good example is state funded grammar schools, and we can all see what has happened to educational standards since.

In a way I think I'd find it highly amusing if the greenies did get their own way: happily living in their wooden huts and dancing around camp fires, their only source of heat and light. Just so long as it isn't for the next 20 or 30 years!

For the really nasty, highly irradiated stuff, we could get NASA to blast it into the sun, although I bet the greenies would insist we send it there at night, when the sun's not lit.

The law was made by politicians, courts do not make laws, ALL LAWS ARE POLITICAL, courts just enforce them, your own link even shows you this if you read it.

The French have banned fracking as have many countries as they recognise the dangers.

It's not that they recognise 'the dangers', it's that governments are usually led on by pressure groups whipping up hysteria.

If you have to rely on a list of countries that have banned it for any kind of authoritative argument, you have already lost the argument.
