Is it mdpe gas pipework

I am currently servicing boilers in 3 flats. The meters are installed inside the flats. The Service Pipework Runs up the side of the building externally. At ground level the service pipework coming out of the ground is a yellow plastic pipe (mdpe) If is about 3foot tall before changing in galvised steel (1in) .

I know that mdpe pipework shouldnt be exposed to sunlight and should be covered correctly, but is this mdpe? I dont want to connected phoneix if it isnt.

I have seen this in serveral others sites..

Need Help.. HAVE PHOTOS IF REQUIRED.
