Hi all

I recently bought a 3-bed Victorian house, much of the internal decor is about 50 years old, including the carpets upstairs.

I ripped out the upstairs carpets myself: they all had what I THINK was particle board as an underlay - it was like some woodchip board, about 5mm thick with swirly patterns: these boards were loose fitted, a bit haphazard.

Also underneath was laid out newspaper from the 60s! Anyway I broke up the particle board and binned it without thinking.

Am now wondering if there are health risks? I take it asbestos has nothing to do with woodchip boards...
