Hi I hope someone can help please. 14 years old vaillant eco tec plus 837 here. Last October, it was dripping water from a metal loop outside the boiler and caused a massive damp patch outside wall near the boiler, then the gas engineer came to fix the problem, two parts were replaced around £185. One and half hour labour costs. Now there is still a patch. is it still leaking somewhere ? I can't see any drilling water from that metal loop tho. But the patch still there does not go away. Heating and hot water is working fine.

Fews months before that the diverted valve was replaced, £190 for the part and £80 for labour cost.

Should I replace this boiler instead ? Too expensive to keep replacing the parts and called out charge. Any advice will be very appreciated. Great Thanks!

It looks like the staining on the wall has been there for some time, and from the original leak. If you were expecting the staining to just disappear once the leak was stopped ,that's unlikely to happen.
With regard to the 14 year old boiler ,I personally wouldn't keep spending money on it now and would replace it if finances allow.
