Is this due to condensate blockage?

My searches indicate the honywell controller coupled with my old greenstar boiler flashing indicates condensate issues? Is there anything I can do to fix it as a layman, or is it gas safe engineer time?

I cant heat hot water, came back from hold to find the issue. Its been very cold at the house.

Sorry, this doesn’t make much sense. Is the Honeywell controller at fault, the boiler or both? If you can’t heat hot water it sounds to me like a separate issue or is it a combi boiler? Any more photos other than a receiver?

AllI know is that the light on that box is usally green and the boiler is flashing indicating a fault, its an old greenstar that doesnt indicate anything specific. It makes 5 mins of noise when I turn the hot water on after resetting the boiler and then gives a fault again. The box stays flat red throughout.

RIght, so check the batteries to the thermostat, although looks like you have a Hive also? Flashing on the boiler could be condensate related, but we’d need to know what the flashing sequence is and what model of WB greenstar

RI model, the manual says its either:
No gas supply/low gas supply pressure,
Condensate outlet blocked or
Flue blocked

There is no detail to the flashing, its crap like that.
No idea what a hive is, what is using batteries, the honeywell box thing?

I dont use the immersion heater, I just use the electornic controls to put hot water to always on for an hour every couple of days.

Hive is a thermostat and can double up as a programmer for heating and hot water. Batteries to the thermostat as it looks to be wireless type (Honeywell). Have you got the gas turned off? Condensate could be blocked or frozen depending on where you are.

Last used gas heating 2 years+ ago. I havnt used the thermostat, just used to adjust at the radiators. its not frozen, temps arent that low anymore, damn. Well will phone the guy tomorrow. Thanks.

I was going to keep house heated this year,bas I could finally afford it, but didnt want to keep it on over the holiday.

Any other reason its strange ?
