My house was build in the late 1800s, I bought it last year and I am in a dispute with my partner if this is artex or textured paint. Parts of it feel like paint and other parts feel plastic. So we have no idea. Here's a photo. 4 out of 6 walls in my living are alike this. The other 2 are smooth

It's Artex bark pattern.
Use a flat roller to create.

Probably no asbestos in it as not sharp looking. Only way to tell is get it tested but I think you are ok if that helps

Last time I was creating this pattern was 2017 looking back

You can't tell from looking, unfortunately. The paint in our house all contained asbestos - really annoying.

Old artex with asbestos in looks like it had a bag of sugar thrown in the mix. If I see that then alarm bells ring loud!
