Just now and again when walking into bathroom I hear a clunk from the pipes which I think are under the floorboards. This noise does not seem to be set off by float valves or taps being turned off. I have serviced the float valves in the house and even put a water hammer arrestor in the pipework but it still happens. can anyone help. Cheers!!

Could it just be thermal movement caused by cold pipes warming up or hot pipes cooling down and as you walk into the bathroom you flex the floor and this releases and binding due to the above?
