Is too much insulation bad???

Hi

My builders have left the required floor level in my new conservatory 150mm short of where it should finish. At present the concrete slab is 350mm below finish floor level, I will be putting down 150mm insulation, under floor heating and then a 75-100mm screed, this will leave a 100mm left to finish floor..... Can I simply put an extra 100mm insulation down??? This would give me 250mm in celotex, I know it's over the top but I get this stuff for pennies. Would there be any future movement? My builders seem to thinks its fine?!!!

The only problem can think of is if the insulation boards do not sit flat with the sub-floor thus creating a void and a weak spot, otherwise crack on.

Same old problem on this forum..... never any responses!!
What did you mean by this?
