is underlay required with 18mm oak flooring

Hi,

ive had 2 estimates for a 3rd floor flat with chipboard flooring currently.

I want to put 18mm oak floor down and one guy tells me i should put the underlay down (3mm) and the other guy tells me not to put it down as it slips eventually.


What experience would people on this site recommend?
