I asked about this a while ago but was asked for photos of wireless reciever for smart thermostat. I am only able to take reciever off now to get photos. So will this wire into the timer clock in the photo? And if so where does the black go and where does the grey go?

If the brown and blue are permanent live and permanent neutral respectively, then I’d say grey and black are switching wires, usually either way around is ok. So yes, it should work.

That Mechanical timer is for an immersion heater , but it will work, but it only has a live out , it is not voltage free so be very carefull , what boiler are you trying to fit it to ?

We are moving Into new house. I have only been in a couple of times. My dad was in to check the heating. He had heating on and said that was the timer for it as that's what he switched to test the heating

as said that is for an immersion heater, you would be better checking what is what, that wouldnt work with a wireless receiver so why is there one there ?

I showed this to a plumber and he said it will work. Unfortunately I can't figure out how as I am unable to get Into the house to see

Impossible to say till we know which boiler you have, if it is low voltage switching then no it wont work
