Hi, I have an Ideal Response 120 combi boiler which is working fine.

I've recently removed a radiator from my bathroom to (eventually) replace it with a towel heater. I closed the lockshield spindle at one end and closed the TRV at the other end before draining and removing the radiator.

Problem is I've noticed a constant drip from the pipe leading into the TRV compression fitting. This half fills a washing up bowl each day and leads to the pressure in the boiler dropping to zero, meaning i have no hot water from the DHW side of the boiler until I use the refilling loop to repressurise.

Is there any way I can isolate the central heating side of the boiler while the radiator is absent, so that the drip stops, there is no possibility of any pressure drop and the domestic hot water can still be used?

Imagine you have just twisted the valve slightly on the olive.

You should be able to nip the nut up and stop the leak.
