Hi, I hope someone can help with my question,
I'm moving a soil pipe which lives inside some box section inside the house. Where it exits from the first floor room into the loft space there is a piece of wood which is isolating the box section from the loft space. I think it may have been to support the soil pipe as well, on it's way up through the tiled roof.
My question is, when I move the soil pipe, should I remake this piece of wood? Does it matter if there is a gap oof approx 200mm x 150mm which would let air pass from the loft to behind a unit in a bathroom (1st floor) and down behind kitchen units (ground floor)?
