It actually makes the problem of anti-semitism worse. If you keep telling people who are opposed to what Israel are doing, or supportive of the idea that Palestinians should have a state which is not systematically ripped up by the IDF and Israeli settlers, that they are anti-semitic then it should come as no surprise if some of them start to believe you.

The Palestinians are a Semitic people.

The immigrants from Europe and USA are primarily people of European heritage, and they are displacing and robbing the North African population, whom they treat as ethnically inferior.

So yes, hatred of semitic peoples does exist, and is mostly practiced by the State of Israel and its supporters.

But perversely some of those most opposed to it strive to increase its prevalence by continually trying to convince people who aren't anti-semitic that they actually are.

Racial history is a big part of the problem. If people would shut up about this or that which happened so long ago that everyone and their grandkids are all dead then we might just have a chance of peace in the world.
